I can't make the Owner's Association meeting on Jan. 8th. Other than losing the opportunity to vote for condo board members, is anyone aware of any other rights I'd be forfeiting by not being present?

I spoke to the company Nick recommended about installing peepholes. They absolutely stick by their line that it's $89 to come out and $35 to install the peephole. I'm trying to negotiate a group discount. Funny thing is, they said if the owner of the building hired them directly, it would be less expensive because they wouldn't bill us individual service charges. Fat chance with that. Anyway, please let me know ASAP how many of you are interested so I can find out what sort of a group price we can get.

Ok, adding on: I just spoke to them again. The guy said they can work out a deal with us. He wants to come look at the doors first to get an idea of how much it will cost. This can only happen Monday-Friday (although the actual work could be on a Saturday). Are any of you available during the week to show them our doors?

MICE!!

When I first moved in, I told Gene there were mice in the walls and I had mice droppings in my unit. An exterminator came out, but it didn't seem to fix the problem. I can hear the mice every night in my kitchen wall. This is a serious problem that must be addressed immediately, as it will affect the whole building. Have any of you noticed mice or heard noises at night? If yes, please let Beth know. At this point, I fear they are so tired of hearing from me that they just think I'm complaining for the fun of it. But this is serious and cannot wait months to be taken care of.
